The existing house was built in 1947, and although not a listed building, is a very good example of residential architecture of the period. The renovation undertook to remove previous extensions and return the house roof and front facade to its original state, will all other extensions designed to deliberately contrast the new and old. The interior design intended to complement and preserve the character of the existing home, whilst embracing contemporary design for new additions.
