GLASS HOUSE

This house is located on an elevated site in an agricultural estate on the border of Johannesburg. The project undertook the conversion of two small cottages into a single house, which was primarily achieved through connecting the two houses with a double volume conservatory structure, which functions as the main living space. All spaces are configured in order to maximise the relationship to outdoor spaces, and views to the garden and landscape. The house is surrounded by a series of structured outdoor spaces such as courtyards making for an easy and relaxed lifestyle.
