New Home
Completed 2020
A family home nestled in a garden sanctuary. The ‘glass house’ is a conversion of two existing cottages on a sub-divided elevated site. A large glass shed is designed to connect the two existing cottage structures, as well as to form the living space of the house. The house is surrounded by a series of outdoor living spaces, including terraces, courtyards and gardens.
The large glass conservatory inspired space was designed as the heart of the house, which includes open plan living and dining. The kitchen was designed to combine both the kitchen and bar, perfect for entertaining family and guests. The interior is designed to feel like an indoor outdoor space with bagged plaster walls, a brick floor, and exposed steelwork. The space is filled with an immense generosity of natural light, with connections to the pool garden on the north, and a sanctuary garden to the south. It’s a place made for both everyday family living, as well as great ‘get togethers’.
